| City Hall Concert |

On Tuesday 300 children from the Heaton Partnership of schools performed at the City Hall. Each school performed their own piece in the first half. Hotspur performed Canvas Bags with percussion, rapping and street dance. In the second half the massed singers sang six brand new compositions written by three composers including Len Young who helped out with our pantomime last term. The songs were based on the theme of transition and change with words written by former pupil Fred Phethean. We had a band of musicians that was joined by members of the Heaton Manor GCSE music group. It was a great evening showcasing the talent in our area.
